Walking to the old port on your right hand it is impossible not to notice the Diocese of the island, the church of Agios Nikolaos (St Nicholas). It was built in the 18th century and is one of the oldest churches on the island. The flag of the Revolution was raised in its ornate architectural bell tower in 1821, while it is said that Napoleon Bonaparte's brother found refuge there for a long time.
Inside the church, a folklore museum has been operating in recent years, while the unique pebble in the churchyard catches the eye. It is no coincidence that many lovers of the island, famous and not, choose to have their wedding in this church. They will definitely have a very good reason!
